Recently KGB Advertising has been striving to expand our portfolio of non-profit brands. We’ve been able to successfully develop and improve the Boys Hope Girls Hope affiliate here in Cincinnati and watching the results they’ve had has been amazing. Currently, we are working with the National office to expand the branding we developed to all of the BHGH affiliates.
One of the hurdles to overcome with non-profit clients it seems is to help them understand they have a BRAND to promote. Even if they aren’t a major corporation it doesn’t mean that they don’t have an audience they are connecting with. Helping our non-profit clients to understand that they need to view themselves as a “business” usually presents a challenge.
Those that do understand can expect results from running themselves like any for-profit company. Usually the audience they’re trying to connect with is volunteers, potential board members and donors. Each of these are often vital to a non-profit’s existence and they want to see the results of their involvement. (Whether it is funds or time)
When non-profits understand that brand development can equal the impact of the work already on-going, you (or your agency) has helped them secure a bright, growing future.
