Every now and then, an advertisement comes along that breaks down the walls of design, be it by creative typography usage or a new use of space. This YouTube advertisement for the Nintendo game “Wario Land: Shake It” literally breaks the boundaries of site design.
Without giving too much away, it is an extremely creative piece that uses every aspect of the YouTube interface as part of the ad. Take the time to look through it, and remember to interact with everything on the screen once the ad is done playing.
Sadly, this ad does not seem to work in Safari or Firefox with Flash Player 10 installed. If your machine is up-to-date, you may not see the ad play. You can visit http://facebook.gspsf.com/~wii/gadget_files_101008/main.swf to view the ad without the surrounding YouTube interface. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
